I got a little hobby grade 10" bandsaw, set it up for resawing today and tackled some 13" x 3.75" x 1.5" myrtle which it cut .125" slices perfectly. The blade is 4tpi x 0.022" thick giving a fine kerf and high yield but won't last long.
Frankly I was surprised and impressed since this saw is destined only for small jobs like kerfing linings and cutting abalone. I proved to myself that it can be done with the right blade and careful setting up. I'll shoot video tomorrow for you.
