ok guys, can someone plz help me understand what everyone means when they say all these different types of tuning whats do they all mean, verrrry confused, cause i hear people tuning tenors in high g and low g, and well, i dont understand what it all means

Wikkipedia explains it very thoroughly, and precisely - far more clearly than I could.

Hi
It is quite confusing but try watching this first and see if you get a better understanding.

some people rather have a low g setup than a high g setup.
what that means is; its just the top string "g" string is strung a 'Higher' or 'Lower'

well dont u learn something new everyday, mines tuned in low g :( i want high g lol, the aquila strings i bought, i just had a look at em now, for sale, and there concert low G strings, oh well, my new tenor will be tuned in high G :shaka:
