Aloha, My name is Dan Waite. I am in So Cal, and recently had a complete tune up done to my Mom's 1949 Martin Style 0 Ukulele for her birthday.
Playing that one got me inspired to get one for myself, so I got myself a Big Island Honu KXXX-TR. I am a beginner, but have played guitar in the past, so it should be a fun adjustment!

Mahalo to all of you. My grandfather (Mom's dad) was an avid ukulele player. He and my grandmother died in a plane crash when I was very little, so I never got to know them very well. I have a postcard they sent me from Oahu in 1968 (Waikiki beach looks quite different now). I've loved the ukulele since I can remember, just never owned one of my own. I'm anxious to start exploring and learning. Thank you again for the kind comments.
