My cats try to get between me and my instrument. They end up on my chest or face and end up getting pushed off. But they bounce right back up again.

... she's called Lotus and she'll sit on the arm of my chair and rub her head on my fretting hand when I'm playing my ukulele. She complains quite vocally when I've got my guitar out, 'cos there's no room for her. She'll ignore my whistle/flute/recorder, but she really doesn't like my clarinet at all !

I had a cat that came when I whistled. I don't think she was responding like a dog would, I'm convinced that she was coming to tell me to "STOP WHISTLING".
