I'm just finishing off the last two ukes that i'm gonna make this year.

And I've already got the workshop set up for making some more 'string spacing gauges' :)

Do you have a rule of thumb for string spacing relative to purchaser;s hand size? or is it simply Luthier's Choice?

It's a "Repousse Hammer" Pete, it's my best tool...Ask your silversmith mate if he's got a spare ....Or get one here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chasing-Hammer-Repousse-Ball-Pein-jeweller-tools-silversmith-jewellery-making-/321078042769?pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL&var=&hash=item4ac1be2091#ht_995wt_952

Polish the face and they make good fretting hammers.

That's right Michael....I ruined the face of this one on centre punches and rivet sets etc:...But I bought another for more delicate stuff ....The shape of the handle fits just right in the hand.
