Here's another one that is a bit out of the norm. Seems like I'm getting a fair bit of requests for something different lately. I guess that's what keeps custom builders in business.

This one was based on a 5 string uke I did a while ago that had the g,G strings spaced so that they could be played in unison, or with some skill the high g could be muted and just the low G played. However this was morphed into an 8 string instrument with the remaining 3 courses spaced as you would expect.

Body - Figured Honduran Mahogany
Neck - Spanish Cedar with CF truss rod
Fret Board - Ebony with 12" radius
Peg Head Veneer - Ebony
Bindings - Cocobolo
Bridge - Cocobolo
Pickup - K&K Aloha Twin
Machine Heads - Gotoh Stealth
Finish 60% gloss lacquer

I believe Americans use terms such as 'awesome', and 'thats something else again' to appreciate work of this quality.....................

I like it a lot, and looooooooooove that headstock. Great job. I love that tiger maple on your site. Going to do this uke in a concert size?

I'd like to describe this uke in the term that our friends from the UK would most likely use...it's "brilliant".

I only do this sort of instrument as a commission. Far to specialised and time consuming to put into stock and hope it would sell.

Yeah that headstock looks awesome. Almost dangerous. Very bada$s

OMG as in OOOHHHH MY GAAAWWWWWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (faints from excitement)

I've NEVER seen anything like it, never seen such a perfect instrument.

That looks UNREAL. OMG. OMFG!!!

I WANT one so badly, but funds are in contention.

Now, I will DREAM of this instrument. I LOVE the headstock too!!!!! OhHhHhH MY GAAAWWWWWDDDD!

I've only used the Stealths on these multi string instruments. The pleasant surprise is that this head stock feals just as light as a paddle head with my usual Grover Sta-tites.
