another suggestion:
you might consider, on barre chords, filling in the barred fret with all dots.
I suggest this because some beginners think that they are to barre 3 out of 4 strings
since one of the strings is not covered by the barre finger. Obviously, this will really
challenge them with all kinds of digital contortions.
I 'warn' my students that when looking a photographs of chord fingerings, the photographer
wants a clear picture of the chord so that unused fingers are often tucked away instead of
being left where they would naturally be found. Because those fingers would 'mess up'
the clarity of the photograph, in terms of where each needed finger should go. clear as mud?
