SOLD: vintage 50s Martin Tenor with recent Hard Case

This 1950s Martin tenor sold by Elderly Instruments, graded as (EC-) Excellent Condition minus. http://elderly.com/vintage/items/180U-1811.htm

The sides and back have a few random minor marks, but they are few and small. There are no cracks. The original nitrocellulose lacquer finish does exhibit some crazing/checking on the body as you might expect in a finish this old, but there is no finish wear. The neck is smooth and without marks or crazing. The all mahogany body has the faux tortoise shell double binding the top and back with WB purfling around the top. Binding looks good, no separations. Also featured are a w/b/w rosette, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, rosewood bridge, headstock features logo decal, original mechanical friction tuners with black buttons that work fine, 12-frets to the body , 18 frets overall, 17" scale. Includes a nice Kala Uke-Crazy faux alligator hardcase.

The sound is warm, very resonant, responsive, with great volume and sustain. It has the cool vintage sound. Intonation is excellent. This old Martin tenor sounds GOOD!

Recent sound sample in reentrant, B tuning with Worth Browns: https://app.box.com/s/je9v23ycy8lsomqp5uiu

Please see the pictures and ask questions.
Why am I selling this? My usual reason: I’m looking to thin my uke collection this year, and some great ukes have to go.

SOLD.
