Hello. ;)

I have been looking for some good beginner books  for chord progressions (accompanied by CDs or DVDs if possible). There are simply too many choices online that I don't know where to start!

Some background info: I have no formal music training, but I have learnt some basic music theories and simple sheet music reading. I plan to self-learn Jazz/ Bluegrass music when moving beyond the beginner level.

Unluckily in my city, Jazz is not popular, and I doubt if I can find someone who have heard the term "Bluegrass" at all. (To be fair I only know there is such a thing until the birth of Youtube!:o)

you may want to check out the pianoworld forums and ask there. the alfred series seems popular for adult beginners

Thank you for your pointers. :D I checked that forum and there are some good suggestions for the books. Can't wait to learn the Blues piano!
