Just curious about strings choices for sopranino ukes.

What kinds have you tried on the tiny ukes?

What do you like best?

Thanks!

I like Soprano Worth browns , they are not too loose and sound good.

At that size I like Aquilas tuned adf#b. The percussion adds a lot to the sound.

I was able to put on some worth CHs and get a usable GCEA tuning.

I have a set of Aquila piccolo uke strings coming for my pocket uke--they're meant to be tuned an octave ABOVE the usual GCEA reentrant. I'll post a clip once I get them and they settle in. The strings that came on it (fake Chinese Aquilas) are atrocious. This will be interesting!

I'd query Dirk at SouthcoastUkes

I have Oasis brights on my Ohana sopranino tuned to D and Martin M600's on my Kala pocket uke tuned to G. So far no issues and both sound great.
