We just got in this beautiful piece from KoAloha. This is their brand new model "Naupaka". Made of Solid Hawaiian Koa and Mango. These two tropical woods unite to sing!

This ukulele is currently listed on Ebay for $1,250.

I play a Koaloha, so it's not without love that I say that this seems gimmicky to me. Why not just produce a mango top, koa b/s uke? or all mango? Maybe it sounds like a chorus of angels, but I'm not sure I can get around the idea of the top made with different woods.

I would love to see some different wood options in the lineup. I've been checking out the Ukulelelab offerings regularly as they seem to have access to unique instruments, some one-offs and unique combinations. I really like the premium wood models. It would be cool to see some binding options as well.

I don't get it either. I have seen this a couple times now, and it never looks appealing.
