Hi guys,
This morning I rather lazily decided to take a brand new set of Martin strings off an Ohana soprano I rarely play, and put them on my Martin OXK, but the A string kept slipping out of the hole on the tuner. I decided to cut my losses and put the original A string back on, and now that one's doing the same thing! Is it because there's not enough length in the string? (There's a good 1/2 inch sticking through the hole before I start winding), or is it to do with the way the string has already stretched? Either way, is there any trick to get it to stick, or am I going to have to go without a soprano uke until I can get some new strings
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Victoria.
