This was my son's about 30 years ago. I pulled it out of his old toy box and it only had 2 strings. So, I drilled holes in the "tuners" and put a used set of Aquila Reds on it. It makes uke sounds (sort of) but the frets and strings are too close together for me to play much of anything. To put tension on the strings, I fretted a soprano at the 5th fret and tuned it to that. Is that any way to tune a uke? ;-D The scale is 9"
anyway, it was kind of a futile attempt at making it playable, but an interesting experiment.
