MGM would often start a thread on Christmas Eve to have us rewrite 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' poem (1 post at a time). I would like to continue that tradition in his memory, so let's start:

T'was the night before christmas, when all thru the street, not a single uke was strumming a beat.
The Kamakas were hung by the palm trees with care, in hopes that a custom Jake model would soon be there...

okay folks time to add your add your lines.....

The gigbags were hung by the chimney with care
With hopes that some K-brands would soon be found there

Oops, wrong verse

And mama with her Blackbird and I with my Kalas
Still making sweet music, for just a few dollas

Then out on the ,street I heard people humming,
I sprang from my bed to see a white haired man strumming.
Who could it be it wasn't the grinch,
Heaven's to betsy, was it good ol' Mike Lynch ?

The moon, on the tweed of a new purchased Uke case, gave a retro impression of what was to come, and then to my wondering eyes did appear, a beautiful dancer holding a beer. She swayed back and forth so lively and quick, I thought for a moment it must be some trick!
