Kala Sunburst Jazz Uke - REVIEW

You won it? Congratulations!

really nice uke with the holes on the side. i like the sunburst look

I actually wanted to get that Uke in the first place, but decided to go for the KA-SC because of all solid. now I think there will be a day when I'm gonna buy that one anyway... great review Ken!

Thanks very much everyone. I haven't had much chance to play it yet, but it is certainly a lovely instrument.

I gotta say, Ken, you almost made me spew coffee. I was not expecting my name to come up.

Sorry about the coffee accident, HH. I often use the same term ("plywood") to describe the laminate body of a guitar or uke. I am a big believer in having instruments with solid wood bodies or at least tops. This ukulele is terrific and doesn't need to be solid because the amplified sound is so good (may even be better with the more rigid body).

If you think it'll suit the '60s well enough, you could try and have a go at my contest. ;)

It'd give you a good opportunity to spend more quality time with it.
