I seem to be running into the same problem - joined a while back and then played on-and-off and I'm not getting much better either. So far what's been helping me a lot are Aldrine Guerrero's videos.
Greetings and welcome mate, glad you joined us. Lots of players need to play with others in a club or group (helps to play with people who play better than you do), play open mic's and/or record themselves to climb over that "stuck point." (includes me)
