Hand rubbed sunburst

A while a back, I did a video on doing this sunburst- here is how it turned out.

Tasmanian Blackwood with customer rosette in Spalted maple, BRW and buckeye burl. Headstock is BRW, Fingerboard is Madagascan rosewood.

Hahhahah- thanks- a hand rubbed burst on figured (or not figured) blackwood (or koa) always look really good- It's not about covering up the wood so much as highlighting its beauty.
It should be pointed out though that factories usually use strange cuts of wood on their sunbursted instruments- but they spray the burst on opaque so you can't see through it to the knots of wood etc.

Thats not what my bursts are about though.

Beau- I've found burl-wood difficult to machine/sand/router. Any tips you would care to pass along?

I only really use burl veneer- i just glue it to something, then seal it with thin ca glue and sand to 220 then finish
