Found this incredible chunk of slab cut old growth redwood in a neighbors garage today. She was going to use it as a plant stand in her garden but gave it to me free (!!!). 10 x 12 x 18. Weighs about 40 pounds. Picture is terrible but grain tight in heartwood and wider at the edge. Knots for sure, but won't know till quarter saw out some pieces. Many, many tops in there I'm hoping.
So keep out an eye you fellow uke builders, there is great stuff out there. (Sorry for the terrible picture. It was dark in there)
