Harley Benton BJU 15 Banjo Uke

You're correct.

It's clearly based on or similar to the Goldtone (who pioneered this model, and has nicer veneers), the Ashbury and especially the Lanikai ones.

But this price is rock bottom when it comes to a flange-equiped banjo ukulele, and it beats all competitors.

Mind you, most banjos have to be tampered with and need setting up: skins ('vellums' for the posh) can be fastened or loosened, bridges shifted for intonation, rattling hooks have to be fastened. On sight, the Thomann pictures tell me that the bridge is a bit too near to the fretboard: the 12th fret should be more halfway between nut and bridge. The description is also slightly confusion in stating that it's a 39,2cm scale length (concert) where all other are 35cm (large soprano). 3 cm is a big difference.
