Anyone done any comparisons of the two? Aren't they both solid woods?

Some Ohanas are solid and some are laminate. Some are solid topped with a plastic back. I haven't seen any Hamano laminates.

What are you looking for?

The Ohana SK35 is all solid mahogany, therefore it is directly comparable to the Hamano mahogany soprano. I like the SK35 a lot. It is a great uke for the money.
