I hope this is the right place for this... I am looking to restring my godin Ike to a low g. I wanted to stick with reentrant but the songs I want to play make more sense with the low g.

I am looking for advice on what strings to use... Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Ben

Are you going to replace all the strings, or just the G?
What strings are you on, or going to use?
Do you care if it makes the grind when you slide?

I am using these: http://www.godinguitars.com/store/us/c378132402p17715479.2.html I will replace all (I assume), really like the way these strings feel so would prefer no grind.

If you like rich tone, I recommend HML-RW of Southcoast Strings. Here is the introduction of the strings. http://www.southcoastukes.com/linear.htm
HML-RW: Heavy Medium Gauge Linear Set w/ round wound basses

If you don't like metal strings, you may consider PhD strings. It sounds bright.
