Dear God, I don't want much but I do want to play the ukulele like Dr. Bekken.

Does Thor listen to such prayers? Loki might... be careful what you ask for...

This is the Viking god you'll have to deal with:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bragi

Bragi, Brage [pronounced "brah-yih"] - God of poetry, eloquence, and boasting. Son of Odin and Gunnlod; married to Idhuna. He greets new arrivals to Valhalla with songs of their deeds. His virtues are wit, cunning, wisdom, music, writing, the arts. He is the patron of skalds and minstrels.

Thanks, Doc. Can he hear prayers from all the way in New Mexico?

Or the Apollo - "functioned as the patron god of music and poetry"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo

"Amongst the god's custodial charges, Apollo became associated with dominion over colonists, and as the patron defender of herds and flocks. As the leader of the Muses (Apollon Musegetes) and director of their choir, Apollo functioned as the patron god of music and poetry. Hermes created the lyre for him, and the instrument became a common attribute of Apollo. Hymns sung to Apollo were called paeans."

Monotheism requires a lot less research.
