Is this guy with the Banjo Uke real?

Yeah, I couldn't watch more than a few seconds of that. Wow. Quite a thing.
 
There is a movie, currently streaming on Netflix, called "Frank". A little research I just did discovered that the fellow behind the movie was in Frank Sidebottom's band.

The movie is not a biography but it is pretty out there.
 
I think the guy might be real, but I am pretty sure the head is paper mache or something.

Sounds like his voice is mimicking Andy Kaufman doing Tony Clifton.
