looks like 5 frets only now, so sad.
 
That makes me really sad. It's not like it was a vintage uke with cracks and no value. But cutting up a Pineapple Sunday? That is just nuts.
 
I would assume it was broken or damaged beyond repair...
 
I have to agree - the headstock isn't KoAloha, the lines on the body and label are cuts, and - while I bet a fantabulous luthier could make this a playable ukulele again...



Why bother?

The body of the P.S. was cut clean in half as you can clearly see, so likely a factory death I would wager.

No need to waste emotions over garbage turned to art.
