This is a concert sized Bocote back and sides with a Redwood top. Neck is Spanish cedar, persimmon fretboard, faux tortoise binding, fiddleback head plate, Gotoh UPTL tuners. I tried one of the Tusq saddles and just really didn't like it so I put a bone saddle back in.
I like the full sound this one has with a nice bit of sparkle too

nice

Whats the persimmon like to work with?? ive never used it.

Thanks gentlemen!
Beau, the persimmon was nothing special as far as working it. Sure is pretty and unusual. I think it would take quite a bit of filling as a body. I have a couple of sets stashed away and will get to them someday! Love your work Beau

I really like the sound of that. I can see me buying something like this in the future...

very nice what type of finish product did you use for this one?

for a redwood top, it is really bright. I thought most redwood would be warmer

Tangi, the finish is Cardinal Gloss lacquer and probably my best finish to date. I was almost happy with it, LOL. In person the sound is pretty warm and full bodied. I was pretty happy as it was kind of an experiment. I changed up the bracing a little.
