FS: Late 1940's - early 1950's Martin Style 1 Soprano - SOLD

SOLD

For sale is a wonderful Martin Style 1 that I purchased on the forum a couple of years ago and I am selling because I rarely play sopranos any more. It is all original except for the tuners which have been expertly replaced with Grover friction tuners that look and function perfectly. There are no cracks or repairs just some dings and scratches as one would expect on a vintage ukulele.

What really surprised me when I first got it was the volume and tone. It is warmer and louder than I had ever heard previously from a uke this size. The intonation is spot on and it is a delight to play. There are Worth clears on it now which I think are a perfect fit. It comes with an original brown chip board case that is in very good condition.

The price is $xxx including shipping to conus and paypal fees.

The uke is lovely, and if I had anything to spare right now, I would certainly make an offer; however, as we have become a one-income family, and our expenses haven't followed suit, I must refrain.

However, for anyone thinking of making an offer, I have purchased a used ukulele from Mitch - he is as honest and gracious as the New England Snow is deep. Shipping was fast, packing was incredibly strong and safe, and his communication is in the top 0.001%. He knows his instruments, and is a pleasure to deal with.

So go buy it, already.

Thank you for the kind words Kurt! This one you would really appreciate.

There's a reason that so many people build copies of vintage Martin ukuleles. At about the same price as a copy, you can have an original with incredible tone that will hold it's value.
