Greetings, aloha, salutations!

I joined a short while ago and do not believe I have introduced myself. I'm a new uke enthusiast who lives in the Pacific Northwest. I am older, late 50's and just rewired from work, so have some time to learn. Must admit, somewhat overwhelmed by all the things to learn! I am taking lessons to help focus in, although not sure that isn't just making the pile to learn bigger!! But that's okay. Hoping to co-learn music theory with it.

I initially got a cheap Oscar Schmidt concert uke and quickly new it wouldn't do and recently got a Kala solid Acacia tenor that I love.

I look forward to learning and growing as a uke player. Gladly taking any suggestions, comments and pointers!!

Greetings and welcome. You have come to the right place. That Oscar will make a great "beater" uke. Just make sure it has some Aquila strings on it.

Aloha and welcome to UU, glad you joined in.

I lived on the Kitsap peninsula for a number of years and miss the mountains and the seafood. In Minnesota a geoduck is a mallard covered in motoroil!

Enjoy and keep us posted
