I bought this collection, and it's great. Fascinating to scroll through the history and to benefit from the efforts of so many composers/players/singers. And some of these tunes are a challenge to play.

Yes, some of the arrangements are, shall we say, less than perfect. Breen's stuff is usually better, but still I find you have to tinker with many of the chords to make them sound "just right."

There are a few songbooks - Pocketful is one - that have simplified arrangements. Some of these are actually better than the original song sheets.
