I'm in need of a new tenor ukulele in the $160 range if it has a pickup its a plus! I will take any offers though! preferably some solid wood such as spruce or mahogany Thanks!

What about this? It's not solid wood but it takes a better man than me to find a solid wood uke for that price!

you are deeeeefinitely going to have a hard time trying to find a solid wood uke with a pickup for that price. you most likely are going to have to increase your budget

haha I know thanks guys! anyone know of any solid ukes in that price range at all? it doesn't necessarily need a pickup.... p.s. i've been eyeballing those kala's for a while.

Soprano, not a tenor, but I would reccomend settling on a solid top and you can have the size you want, and your pickup, by sacrificing for laminate on the back and sides. And you can't get the Lanikai equivalents (Steq) anymore.

I sell the spruce topped kala tenors with case for $192.00. If you want a tenor with a pick up I sell the mahogany lammy with case for about the same. Kala has solid mahogany concert for about that price as well. on my web site i have the new Kala catalog you can see all the new ukes. Wish you the best for you search

There's something called the "Amigo" that sells something they describe as a tenor ukulele with a solid spruce-top. I have never heard one, nor have I played one. If I remember correctly, they have twelve frets and cost around $70. You can find them on ebay quite regularly.

For $169(plus shipping), the Kala spruce top is probably your best bet at your price range...

oh, check the "luthier's special" section on flea market music and their marketplace periodically, some good deals end up there from time to time.

If you want a pickup you don't need a solid instrument. In fact, it's a positive advantage not to have a solid instrument where there is a pickup involved!
