Last weekend I finally made it back to Hong Kong where I had purchased my first ukulele over four years ago at the Hong Kong Ukulele Store.

www.ukehk.com

In October of 2011, the store was relatively small with not so much to choose from. I bought an Anuenue cut-away tenor with a passive pickup and still enjoy using today after subsequently purchasing about a dozen more ukes. Their store is bigger and better now with much more to offer including top K-brands. It really has grown and that's good to see.

Whilst there I bought 3 books by Ondrej Sarek (published by Mel Bay).
Since, I'm very interested in "Early Music" (renaissance, baroque, classical and romantic) I got his books on Leopold Mozart and Mauro Giuliani. They make very nice additions to the material arranged by Rob MacKillop, John King, and Tony Mizen, and they're relatively easy to play.

I also purchased Sarek's bluegrass book. It looks good, but I know it will be some time before I get to it. Is anyone else familiar with Sarek's arrangements? If so, what do you think?
