Just a heads up ... went to order strings and Strings by Mail currently has Oasis strings for 30% off ... $6.65 per set for many (and these are DOUBLE length sets) pretty rippin' deal!

Cheers desch, I wouldn't mind trying these Oasis. Not sure what they sell for here in Australia.

Thanks for the tip, I just bought three packs of Low G with the new smoothwound G string.

I will! Any particular flavor you like? I'm a re-entrant tuning sorta player.

I've only used their low G set, the top three strings alliance 540R
And the lo g Corum single string 504 . They have other sets too
But I have not tried them.. craig brandau, has a set too.
I do like the normal tension. You only need a hi g string for your re entrant

Thanks for the info. Great price. They also have new Oasis sets with a smooth wound low g.

I usually prefer the bright low g set.

I've only tried the warm High G and love 'em, ordered some brights this time too to give them a try.

I have a set of brights on a Kiwaya KTS-4 and they sound really good. The brights have a little more tension on the G and A strings to help accent the highs.
