I've had a Firefly banjolele for a while now, I love it's plinky-plunky banjo sound. It came with D'Addario Nyltech strings, when one broke I put on their Pro arte Clear Nylon strings.
I prefer fluorocarbons for my other ukes because of their softer feel on both fretting & strumming fingers.
So here's the questions: if I put "good" strings on a Firefly, will I lose the awful-yet-essential plinky-plunky banjo sound? Anyone else put fluorocarbons on their banjolele & like/not like the sound?
