I find it a breeze to change strings on my Clara and Boat Paddle A, both of which have UPTs.
Then I change strings on my other ukes, which have good quality geared tuners, and I get frustrated with all that needless numerous turns needed to get a string to pitch.
What reason (apart from cost, maybe) is there not to have UPTs on all ukes, regardless of size?
The UPTs are light, smooth as butter and hold strings in tune excellently. Plus, they don't have uke ears.
I wish I had them on all my ukes.
Both Blackbird ukuleles now come standard with UPTs, apparently.
