Oops - I just won a Pono Tenor

I played the non electric a couple days ago at my local Uke shop...

It has a nice balanced sound not as "Spruce Bright" as my Kala Spruce/Maple.

I am sure you'll dig it!!!

So that's what that button that says "Place Bid" does.

I guess I just bought a Pono PTS-E, mahogany spruce top tenor with passive pickup.

I hope I like it! :D

That happened to me, too! Due to arrive on Monday - Pono PTS-E. Now we know there will be a couple in the Portland area! I'm selling my 8-string Pono PT-8 and moving to the PTS-E - I think the 4 strings will be more versatile as I learn!

LOL!! i shud do this more often.

I have the same one but minus the pickup and love it, it's one of the best mid range price tenors, beautiful sound. For the price you can't ask for better, it's like getting a piece of the signature Ko'olau quality without having to spend $1,000+

PS: if you don't mind, how much did you get it for? New, used?

Sweet! Lets jam!

I'm stoked now after the positive comments.

Final bid was 336. plus shipping Cali to Oregon - should be easy.

Used barely like new cond. includes Ko'olau case w/red stitching.

I cant wait to rock - I think I'll record a Flaming Lips cover video. . .

awesome, that is indeed a good deal, enjoy it!

It was on one Internet vendor site who was selling the pono pts, they had good pics/scans of it, I've tried to google it again and get em to you but I can't find which link it is :(

If you still have the pix Id love a copy. Can't find any good ones on the web for my facebook. When I get the ptse I will post some good pix for fellow Ponowners. That's a new word.

Sweet D. I love that ebony and rope binding. My PTSE arrives Thurs. I hope my wife doesn't get jealous when all I want to do is hold it.

To truly represent my feelings for it thus far, the inlay on the headstock would read "Porno"

This uke came today in beautiful mint condition, with it's factory setup still intact, having apparently rarely seen the light of day until now.

I have to admit that the Ko'olau gold strings in wound low G were a shock to everyone's ears at first, but are in fact quite beautiful sounding. I kind of like the low hum they give off and I enjoy the extra notes below C, especially fingerpicking. I am still not used to them but I think I will give them a few days to see how I feel about them before I decide whether to replace them with the Worth clears or the Fremont blacklines I have waiting in the wings.
