Victoria Vox on rhythms and strumming

In the article 'Vox Populi" in the Spring 2015 edition of UKULELE magazine, Victoria mentions her interest in uke rhythms and strumming techniques. She particularly refers to the "two-and-four backbeat rhythm". I'd like to know about this and strumming techniques in general. Suggestions/ help?

Actually very simple and probably the most commonly used percussive rhythm technique around, especially in more modern stuff.

Why not just peruse Ukulele Underground? They have tons of stuff. That's kinda what this place is all about. Watch Aldrine's videos. He has made them for a reason. Have fun. He is an excellent teacher.

The chucks are on beats 2 and 4, like how you clap along with a song. Hence the funny little meme, "Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3".
