i've looked at countless ukes and have found this store here in flordia that has great prices...I need a tenor asap for an audtition thats coming up and heres the four finalists i'd prefer a pickup, but figured i could always grab one of those dean markley transducer if anyones used em? Anyway heres the four finalists just wondering whats the best bang for my buck?

Thank you very much !! keepin this one up just wondering about opinions of the onboard kala pickups or the Dean Markley transducers.... If anyone owns any of these ukes feel free to tell me what you think...

Thanks again!

I also vote for the KA-ST. I don't have one but I do have the Flamed maple Sprucetop Tenor. Brighter than any other uke I have played. I haven't put it down since I got it on last Thursday. And since the sidesand back are laminate on both, I think, I would think they are similar. I have no idea about the pickups, all my ukes are pickupless.

I don't know if either of those mahogany ukes are solid but that would be a good second choice if they are.

I also vote for the KA-ST. The spruce top models sound really good. My son had a concert one sounding real good till someone stepped on it!

if you are looking just to amplify the sound of the ukulele, then the shadow pickups that the kalas come with are adequate. but if you are looking to recreate the finer aspects of the acoustic tone of your instrument, then i can tell you it will cost more than your ukulele cost to do that.

so because of these things, its hard for me to give any advice other than the fact that the people that have used the stick-on transdeucers like them... when they stay on. i prefer a built in undersaddle transdeucer, but not one made by shadow.
