Embaritone

I bought a broken Arthur Godfrey [Vega] bari off ebay. I have a friend who makes & repairs instruments and he said it was pretty much unrepairable. BUT, the neck was in good shape and he agreed to build me an electric using it's neck. I get to pick it up tonight. He is calling it the embaritone? I may work on smoothing the edges a bit. but I love the bari scale length. I've been playing up the neck quite a bit lately and like the extra room . looks like cherry, my fav fruit.

Well done Strumsilly, looking very cool & quite unique. I love the idea of recycling the Arthur Godfrey neck.
