Wow! I am feeling emotions that aren't entirely appropriate towards an inanimate object.

Do you have a sound sample? This is a fabulous-looking uke, but I'm leery of the brightness of spruce tops. It's not possible for me, but sheesh, what a beauty that is!

Woah! You know when dem Turner's post in here they mean business. Better get that sound sample up soon Julie!!!! Gorgeous instrument. Had I the money it would already be sold. Ginny and Craig, for what it's worth I've owned two Barron Rivers and both were gorgeous players. Very light, beautifully balanced, slim neck profiles and lovely rich, sweet tones. Highest class instruments from a wonderful builder. Highly recommended.

Ok here's a very quick and dirty sample. I'm horrible when I try to record myself, so there are lots of mistakes.

It's Mother's Day....perhaps I could beg, cajole, plead, appeal, ask, petition, solicit, beseech, crave, crawl, entreat, implore, importune, supplicate, entreaty, the hubby. Do you think it might work??

I think that sounds like an excellent idea! Let me know before the end of the day and I'll get it boxed up and shipped out tomorrow! :)

Ok I lied... I reduced the price again. But this is the last time - really

Also if anyone who is seriously interested in buying it and is also going to UWC, you can take a 2 minute detour from their drive and see it/check it out. I live about 1 mile off of St Rd 46.

Wouldn't want to trade for the MM would ya? I can't seem to get it sold for some reason and it's a super instrument. I'm trying to collect one "love" of each size. I've got my Tenor love (a Moodyville Jazz). No others I can't live without.

Hope Janet doesn't mind me stepping in here... Julie, Janet's is a sycamore concert uke with a bear claw spruce top. A beauty to be sure.

Oh, I don't mind Jon, thank you. Does seem small to me for a concert. Perhaps that's why I'm not in love (:

Sorry, but did you mention the reason for wanting to sell this?

julie
08-06-2015, 05:44 AM
Do I really need a reason? ;)

Seriously though, I'm just going through a downsizing phase of my life. I don't need more than 1-2 ukes. I feel guilty having such a nice instrument that just sits in a case and never gets played. There's nothing wrong with it. It's gorgeous and sounds great. I just don't play it and I have another one that I do play.

Julie, I agree with you. No reason is necessary.

My wife read a book about down sizing and the only question the author asked was: does this bring me joy? If not then a beautiful Uke should have the opportunity to give someone else joy.

It's a beautiful Uke and some one will love it.
