New x-bracing tenor ukulele

Hello everyone,
I show you my new tenor ukulele.
I try with new soundboard bracing: X-bracing with some suspended bars.

this is uke:
top: Italian Val di Fiemme spurce
back&side and neck: Honduras mahogany
fingerboard and Headplate Cover: Amaranto
bridge: bubinga

I like this very much.

As I am new to building, I am keen to try different things.
I may give this bracing method a trial.
I think the ukulele looks very nice and sounds great as well.

Sounds great.

I doubt the "floating" 3 fan braces (as seen in the attached pic of yours) will inhibit bellying behind the bridge though.

I'd make sure i made that upper transverse bar (where it is touching the top i the middle) a bit wider then the fingerboard.



Every X braced (or double x brace) uke ive made has been a success. It seems to work well for concert size too, freeing up alot of top space.

Yes, yes. Great sounding. The treble end is what really amazes me... Very interesting.

However, I'm a little on Beau on this one with the lower bout fan bracing. I see what you are aiming for, but is that gonna hold up over time:? Does it have the structural strength? Great idea though and beautifully executed. I suppose if the bridge patch and the x-bracing is strong enough, the lower bout isn't going anywhere.... Thanks for sharing. Oh and that Italian/Swiss spruce: Very sweet. It does not grow around where I live, but I wish it did.
