Hi friends, My new uke CD just got a very positive review in the May, 2015 issue of Blues Notes magazine. The call it "fresh and delightful" and "all the musicians are sensational". The write up ends with "Fun, fun, fun, Sugar Moon is a fresh breath of air".
That is very gratifying particularly as this is a blues oriented magazine that has probably never reviewed a ukulele CD. We need the world to know that the ukulele is a serious instrument capable of playing any type of music and not a novelty instrument. Articles like this help a lot. Click on the link below to hear samples of tracks from the recording. You can also go to my website and hear three complete songs all the way thru.
The CD features world class musicians such as New Orleans sax player Reggie Houston (played in Fats Domino's band for twenty years) and guitarist /singer Mary Flower (her last CD was named one of 2014's best recordings by Downbeat magazine). No lightweights were invited.
