I like the proportions of your cigar box. Congratulations on your build!
Several cigar stores near me sell empty cigar boxes very inexpensively (sometimes they just ask for a donation). What should I look for? Are there rules for dimensions, or wood thickness? Is there a preference among cigar box uke builders for specific brands of cigar boxes?

thanks for the message, but I'm afraid I can't answer your questions as it is the first one I made and I use the only box I had. But what I can say is that new boxes are thick plywood, if you find boxes of plain cedar it would be better I think. But I let other answer as I'm not a specialist.
