We lost one of the all time greats on Thursday, Mr. Ben E King. Mr. King was the lead singer with The Drifters and also had a wonderful solo career. Thinking of his many great songs, my favorite(s) are A Rose in Spanish Harlem and Save the Last Dance For Me. What's yours?

my favorite is This Magic Moment, though I haven't tried to play it.
Here is one of King's songs I did recently, though I am not proud of the singing. ;)

Aww! I really love his music. Percy Sledge died last month, too.

With the Drifters, he was great. And as a solo act. My favorite is Young Boy Blues.

Percy Sledge had some great ones too - Out of Left Field is a personal fav. And he sang a nice Dark End of the Street, but there were even better version's than Percy's IMO (James Carr, Aretha, Clarence Carter).

Two losses...very sad.

Ain't it the truth! Read today that B.B. King is in home hospice..........my thoughts are with him also.
