The time for spraying lacquer is looming up again, so I decided to upgrade my tripod holder mentioned in this thread: http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?106497-Necessity-is-the-mother-of-invention
I purchased a square steel 1/2" x 1/2" rod 6" long and drilled and tapped a 1/4" x 20 hole in each end. Now I can attach the body to the rod by means of the neck bolt and the other end to the camera attachment on the tripod. This way I don't have to modify the tripod and the body is held away from the tripod. The neck is attached to the rod by means of a 1/4" x 20 cut off bolt connecting the two. The rod is then connected to the tripod. Very simple, but very effective!
