Song Help Request Smells Like Teen Spirit?

Nirvana plays it in F.

F, Bb, Ab, Db

I play it in D to make it easier to sing.

D, G, F, Bb
 
Those chords on Uke Hunt make it either way too high or way too low to sing.
 
Hey seeso, do you play those chords in the normal (1st) positions?

I've been trying this on the uke for a while and I can't get anything that sounds close at all...

I play it in C tuning and it sounds fine me. I have seen a version that use Fm instead of F.
