I came home from college about a month ago and just finished my first instrument of the summer. Aesthetically it's influenced by some of my favorite 19th century guitars and features an englemann spruce top, 3 piece cherry back with contrasting strips of indian rosewood, indian rosewood top binding, and fretboard, madagascar rosewood bridge and head plate, and spanish cedar neck.

Personally, when I came home from college I didn't build ukuleles and if I had it would have been a disaster. I was much more focused on beer and... other things.

Very nice effort here. I take it you have done this before? I like the combination of the 19th century body with the wide fretboard. Nice fretwork too by the looks of it. Question is: How does it sound?
