Capo

I've heard of people using mandolin capos that fit really well

I only use a capo on baritones; if I need anything higher than GCEA most strings can handle ADF#B. I have a cheap elastic guitar capo that has an extra hole poked in it so it can stay on the baritone cleanly, but I would think that a banjo capo would work a lot better.

I like the Kysers too. I'm using one in this video. A smaller size one would've been easier to fool with, but all I had was the guitar version.

That said, in most cases I'm with Russ Buss. I hardly ever capo my uke.

I have used a capo a few times while playing with other people.
I have always used a guitar capo, while they might be a bit big they do the job and can be worked around.
Thanks for the links to to banjo and mandolin capos, didn't even know they existed!

Shub capo, my vote

I like the Shub capo. It's small, well made, and is easy to use. I have one for my guitar and one for my banjo. The banjo size works well on my ukulele. The one I have for my guitar is over 30 years old, and it still works great.
I found this video that shows it, as well as a few pointers on customized use.

I use one of these on my baritones and a friend has a kamaka tenor he uses one on.

It kind of gets in the way, while I was looking for the link above I saw this:

Looks like all the junk is out of the way.

I don't ever use a capo on a soprano and concert, sounds like crap. I don't play a tenor so all I can go by is my friend and it was OK sounding.
