The marketplace thread for the Cocobolo tenor with "the loudest bird ever" made me laugh. I've had some experiences with ukes and birds, and it seems Mike from Uke Republic sometimes has a loud tropical bird stealing the show in some video demos. I want to hear about your uke-bird experiences - there must be more!
The one I remember most, I was writing a song on a camping trip. No one else was around, just my uke and me. I was working out some fingerpicking, and whenever I played, a bird sang. It wasn't a loud bird, but as it kept happening, it wasn't a coincidence either. When the uke stopped, the bird stopped. I decided to work on the vocals later and let the uke and bird have their conversation. That was 2 years ago, and that song is still special to me, partly because of that experience.
Stories, anyone?
