I'm a handy guy, a very handy guy, and my handy guy resume includes all kinds of stuff: car fixing, piano repair, clock repair, indian crafts, and so forth.

I'd like to saw down the grooves in my uke's nut. I'm thinking I might have some saw blades that would fit, from my jigsaw/scroll saw.

Anyone do this?

Any other sources of various kerf'd saw blades?

One option is to get acetylene torch cleaners. They come in all sizes and you get them at the autoparts store. A set of 20 of them will set you back about $6.50 US. Drawback: On hard bone nuts they don't cut down very fast.

I use a 32 TPI Hacksaw blade and put it through the drum sander to remove the set of the teeth....works great on my nuts ;)
