I would like purchase single .040 nylon, nylgut, or florocarbon strings to use for a Low G string in a GCEA tuning on my baritone uke. I have some sets of regular Baritone GCEA tuning so I could just substitute one of those strings for low G. I've already tried Just Strings. No luck. Thanks for any information.

PM me your address and I'll fix you up with a length of Berkley Vanish clear fluorocarbon 100 pound test line. It's diameter is .041".

I'd be interested in hearing back from you to see how it worked out.

I'm surprised that you couldn't get a .040 nylon string from Just Strings. What did you ask for, specifically?

http://www.juststrings.com/ghs-t3w.html - the T3W is a .040 nylon

There are other classical G strings available in singles, but those are the ones I found that are specifically .040.

It looks like Aquila doesn't offer singles, or I'm sure JS would carry/stock them.

Your local guitar shop should be able to sell you a single classical guitar string of that size.

Ebay has single low-g strings by Fremont.

Bill, please do not start multiple identical / near-identical post threads. I've closed the others, leaving just this one for the discussion.

Thanks.
