As the title says. I will be traveling and want to take my baritone with me. Can anyone suggest a hard case that's lightweight, not huge, but durable enough to check on an airplane. I will mostly carry on, but one leg of the trip requires a gate check.

Having trouble finding in baritone size.

Anyone have experiences (good or bad)? Suggestions?

Thanks

When I was looking, I found that Guardian makes several types of a Baritone cases that are readily available. I got the foam case but they also have hard cases.

I have two tenor versions of this case, and they both have worked well for me. They are certainly not ATA approved but gate checking should (I hope!) be fine. Checking instruments is the stuff of nightmares, good luck to you!

I bought the Guardian canvas covered hard foam case, seems to be better made and more rugged than the typical hard foam case and works fine for me. They have the better hard cases in two styles which might work better for checked luggage, here they are on Amazon...
